Dr. Andrés Etter is a Professor of Landscape Ecology at the Faculty of Environmental and Rural Studies of Javeriana University in Bogotá. He is a biologist and earned a PhD from the University of Queensland in spatial ecology. His interest focuses on studies related to land use and ecosystem transformation modeling to understand the threats and drivers, and to develop ecosystem risk assessments. He seeks to understand how land use and the implicated land transformation processes impact on biodiversity, ecological processes and climate change. Dr. Etter’s work looks to impact land use and conservation planning.
