Dr. Dennis W. Hallema is an Assistant Research Professor at the Desert Research Institute, Division of Hydrologic Sciences, where he uses AI/ML technology to develop natural catastrophe models (floods and wildfires). He holds a PhD in Continental Hydrology and Society from Montpellier SupAgro and a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University. Dennis has published over 30 scientific articles on continental hydrology, fire ecology, and Machine Learning.
