Wendy Chen

Wendy Chen is an associate professor serving as the director of the International Centre for China Development Studies, at the University of Hong Kong. She is the Editor-in-Chief for Urban Forestry & Urban Greening and deputy coordinator for Urban Forestry Unit under the International Union of Forest Research Organisations (IUFRO).   

She combines expertise in urban ecology, environmental science, and economics to address the quantification of ecosystem services and economic valuation of nonmarket environmental goods as well as interactions between economic development, urban ecology and environment, as well as urban society. She has led several research projects and published over 50 papers in internationally refereed journals.
