Ender Makineci is Professor in Soil Science and Ecology Department, Faculty of Forestry, Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Istanbul-Turkey. Completing his A.B. and Ph.D. at Istanbul University in forestry, forest ecology and forest soil interactions.
Ender Makineci is author or co-author of over 100 scientific papers. His current research aims to address the subjects on forest ecology, soil ecology, forest biomass, nitrogen cycling especially in forest and restored ecosystems, carbon management and sequestration in forest ecosystems, ecological effects of silvicultural treatments and ecological processes of ecological restoration on open cast mines and sand dunes.
