Jingfeng Xiao

New Content ItemDr. Jingfeng Xiao earned his PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. He is currently a Research Professor at the Earth Systems Research Center, University of New Hampshire. His research is motivated by the compelling need to understand the impacts of climate change and human activities on the Earth’s biosphere and the feedbacks to the climate. He strives to answer major science questions on global carbon/water cycles, climate-vegetation interactions, ecosystem dynamics, and coupled natural and human systems. Dr. Xiao combines terrestrial biosphere modeling, remote sensing, field measurements, upscaling, model-data fusion, and statistical approaches to answer these science questions.

Research Areas: Global Ecology; Terrestrial Carbon/Water Cycling; Remote Sensing; Ecosystem Modeling; Upscaling; Model-Data Fusion
