Dr. Nan Lu is a professor at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She received a B.S. degree from Peking University (2005) and a Ph.D. degree from University of Toledo (2009). Her research addresses how ecosystem structure and functions change in response to climate change and human activities across landscape and regional scales. Specifically, by using site observation, transect sampling, remote sensing and modeling tools, she examines water and carbon cycling and ecosystem services trade-offs/synergies in changing environments.
Research areas: Water and carbon cycle, ecosystem services, landscape ecology, ecological restoration and management
