Yushun Chen is a Professor in State Key Laboratory of Freshwater Ecology and Biotechnology, Institute of Hydrobiology, Wuhan & University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Dr. Chen has worked in streams, rivers, coastal systems, ponds, lakes, reservoirs, and their watersheds from the Central Appalachian Mountains, the Northern Gulf of Mexico, the Mississippi River Basin, to the Yangtze River Basin, the South to North Water Diversion Projects Regions of China, and more. In recent years, Dr. Chen and colleagues have initiated the Mississippi-Yangtze River Basins network to promote international collaborations and communications.
